Summers are very hot – lightweight cotton clothing and a lightweight jacket. Winters are mild, yet cold in the early evening and mornings – trousers, long-sleeved shirts, pullovers and a very warm jacket. Comfortable walking shoes and sandals/slops. Sunhat, sunscreen and aftersun. Malaria precautions, insect repellent, lip balm, water purification tablets and a basic first-aid kit.
Vaccination against yellow fever, hepatitis and tetanus etc are currently not required by Mozambique, Although you should consult your doctor or hospital on tropical diseases before your trip. It would be wise to take precautions tetanus, malaria, hepatitis and mostly yellow fever.
The main language spoken in Mozambique is Portuguese but English is widely spoken over the country.
